From its inception, Gents Club Ilisan committed itself to fostering academic excellence within the community. One of its flagship initiatives is the annual Quiz Competition for primary schools in Ilisan and its surrounding areas. As part of this program, the club distributes essential school materials such as exercise books and Converse shoes to participating students. Additionally, financial incentives and trophies are awarded to schools that achieve first, second, and third places, motivating both students and teachers to excel.

One notable beneficiary is Mr. Olayinka Adesanya, who has since become a medical doctor.
